Hypo or not? Opinions highly appreciated

JaredAren Sep 12, 2006 07:37 AM

Is this a hypo or not? It was sold as an F1 hypo. I do not think it is. Looks to me to be a nice pastel but was wanting some opinions from others. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a very nice pastel to me. Not a hypo.

More pics, But I would have to agree, It does look like a Beautiful Pastel, but as far as Hypomelanistic...I would have to say no, Would love to see more pics though...

This boa is not in my possession yet. I purchased it without seeing a good pic. It was sold to me as an F1 Hypo because it was sold to the current seller as an F1 hypo. The current seller was nice enough to send me this pic and to tell me that she has her doubts about its genetics. From what the seller says the male bred a normal female last year and about a third of the litter were lighter with less black like the male and the others were darker like the normal female. Again this sounds like a pastel to normal breeding to me. The current seller and I are working on a deal and I was wanting more opinons so that she knows I am not just saying it is not hypo so that I can save some cash. So, please keep the opinions coming.

Just ask the seller to define Hypo, then after their failed attempt(per the item pictured) keep your cash and go after a real hypo of your chooseing. There are plenty on the market much nicer then that one Hypo,Pastel or otherwise.
