Switching to rats

How do I do it? My adult female is stuck on gerbils, and at first I could get them cheap. Now that supply seems to have run low. How do I get her on rats? She seems interested, and she looks like she will strike, and then she lays back down, or just starts to explore and ignores the rat. What do I do?

well, nevermind, i got her to eat a medium rat today. first i gave her a small gerbil, then as soon as she finished that, i gave her the rat, and she took it with no problems.
