Anery honduran milks

xblackheart Sep 12, 2006 10:46 AM

I am mainly familiar with corns and kings. I had a hybrid honduran milk for about a year, but recently sold her. She was kinda nippy and just got worse. I was wondering if this is normal for hondurans? I just bought a pair of anery hondurans and those little guys are as bad as the female that I sold. Is it normal for them to Chew when they bite? Corns bite and then let go. I find it odd that these snakes want to bite and keep biting. Also, will they grow out of it as they get older, and are handled more? I know nothing is a sure thing, so I should say are they "Likely" to grow out of it. I know milks are much more squirmy than corns, as well. I just wanted to see what people who have dealt with milks for a long time have to say. Thanks for any input.

yes, that's normal for hondurans. They like to bite, chew, and crap all over you until they are about 6 months old. After that most will calm down, though every now and then you get one that's squirmy even as an adult.

I have some really calm Hondurans. They are very curious, however, but they act like snakes are supposed to. I just got bit the other day by a hatchling, but that was because I didn't want her to hit the floor again. The hondos that I have had for awhile are pretty calm now. Derek
