I'm glad to hear that you've bought a corn. They are great snakes. However I am disappointed to read part of your post. Why would you purchase an animal if you don't know how to take care of it properly? Its better to ask questions first, and read up before rather than later. Read the caresheets on kingsnake or get a book from the pet store where you bought it.

To answer your question try frozen/ then thawed and warmed pinkies/(baby mice with no fur). Corns are usually great feeders and should take one from you once you feed it. (Feed it once a week!)

I don't want to sound harsh but, be a responsible pet owner.

Like i said in my first post, I have had 3 boas, So im not used to something this small! I know they eat pinky mice, i just wanted to double check and make sure the food was small enough for the snake!

If it's a brand new hatchling, you may need to find the smallest newborn pinkies you can get. One of my hatchlings this year was so tiny (even the EGG was small), that when I gave it the smallest pink I had ... I was sure it was going to be too big. But he took it down & now 2 months later he's doing great. Good luck. BTW, with a new baby corn once a week might not be quite enough. Twice a week (or even every 3 days) at first, might get him off to a good start. Especially if the temps are good & he's pooping a couple of days after he eats. Duffy
