how do i go about washing our sulcata

suzannelckyldy Sep 12, 2006 07:11 PM

hello we recently got our tortoise and reading on various factsheets and websites there are a lot of references to washing and cleaning the tortoise, however they also state that the tortoise can drown if his water bowl is too deep, so you can probably work out we are a bit concerned about how to wash him without drowning him in the process

any help would be gratefully apreciated as he is starting to smell a bit

I just use a dish with shallow warm water and soak him. And wipe him down with a towel. The depth should be so that if it retracted into its shell its head would not be under water.
