I was just checking in....I had read the posts below and just wanted to say that I respect your ability to put your pets needs before yours.
I have an elderly (and I mean old) black lab. She has been in the family since my youngest kid was just walking (13 years). Everyday I toggle between the decision....
I figure when she can't poop on her own or bark at the "boys" (Tucker and Raider), it is probably time. I will take the step to make her more comfortable, not me.
