Hey, I just got him 2 weeks ago he's now about 7 weeks old, and i was wondering about him eating vegs. He will eat crickets no problem ( 4 of them 2 times a day)and has eaten mealworms once but he hasnt showen any interst in vegs at all!( he eaten them out of my hand once) Is there somthign i can do to get him to eat them? Also i was wondering about him sheading, its been like 3 days so far jw how long it will typically take and if i should help him in anyway??

Thanks in advance for your time!

He is still a bit young and wont eat greens yet but keep offering till he does when he gets a little older he will eventually eat them as far as the shedding goes dont worry and never pull it off yourself you can help by soaking him in warm water or misting Good luck with your new baby!

Like the above post said. I tried for a long time and mine slowly came around and decided it liked rasberries. Then I decided to really soak the veggies so they were wet when they are offered (I'm talking about washing them and then putting extra water on top.)Mine loves veggies and he gets a portion of whatever my iguana gets. At this point he doesn't mind the variety. keep trying..

Another piece of advice that i have been given by the breeder where we got ours from is to take a handful and slowly let it fall into his salad bowl. Seemed to help with ours. Beardies are natural scavangers so sometimes thaT can help out.
As everyone else has already stated tho he is young and probablly wont seem real interested in his greens for a little while but defintily put them in there in the am and leave them there for the day and youll notice that he will start eating them!

sounds ;ike a typical kid, won't eat his greens. My adulr breadie is reluctant to eating greens as well, I got him a few weeks ago from another person who did not take the best of care of him so I am battling the same problem. I do try to sometimes dangle the greens infront of him, sometimes he bites, sometimes he falls asleep.

Another thing you might try is adding some mealworms or something in the salad. He is bound to catch some greens along with the worms. Just make sure they are not all on top of the greens as they can be rather accurate in there striking when they wanna be.
I also put moist dragon pellets into the salad aswell for some added nutrients!
I dont know your feeding schedule but try offering greens in the morning only. Hold off on the crix for noon time or later.

I think that as long as he as access to his greens all day long he will eat them eventually.

Once again these are things that work for me. I am not a pro or anything like that. Just another Dragon owner trying to help out. Any advice I give is totally my own opinion and I never think of my advice as "the only way" to do things.

Good luck and have fun!!
