I was wondering if any form of wood bought at like a home depot is safe for a ball python. my girlfriend has a bird pirtch but that is not strong enough for the large snake. i was wondering if i could make like a arch out of some 2x4 or something simillar, it is not treated with the green stuff to keep it from rotting cuz i think that is toxic. Thanks for your help!

You will want to avoid cedar most of all. And, yes, avoid the treated wood. Since aspen is often used as a substrate, that would certainly be a safe bet.
