my Burmese is sick. hes coughing up lots of Flem and weezing. the closest herp vet is 100 mi away and very pricey is there anything i can do to help him can i give him benadryl or any type of human meds? have you had similar experiences if so what did you do and what was the outcome thank bc

Sounds like a respiratory infection. Do NOT give him any human meds, warm things up slightly and get him to that vet. The sooner the better, that sort of thing can get worse if not treated quickly.

Your snake should really see a vet. If it is absolutely out of the question, then keep him warm, dry and hope for the best.

You could try calling a local dog and cat vet. They would probobly not be eager to help you, but if you explained your situation they might do something simple like prescribe a basic antibiotic like baytril for you. Make sure you know the weight of your snake so that they (or you yorself) can calculate the appropriate dosage.
