I have finally started my flex watt for my racks, however i was gonna use duct tape, but read that it will turn gooey. So were can i get foil tape that is good to use for tape. I think lowes and Home Depot sells some type of foil tape, but im not sure if it will work.

The foil tape is really sticky and will work well with heat tape. Its available at a lot of different places I have used the 3M product and like it. Any foil tape will work, its a pretty generic product. Like transparent tape they all work, but scotch is what is often recommended, same deal with Klennex.

Another product you might look into is Glass Cloth Tape, it is heat resistant (425') and not to bad on price. I use a similar product designed for use in Aerospace Vehicluar Equipment (scaps from work) and it works great. I find that its is far more flexable than aluminum foil tape, and some products IMO stick better. We use a 3M product at work I will look into the part number if you are interested.
