Peruvian Litter Born Today

Mark Damico Sep 13, 2006 08:47 PM

I'm excited about this small bunch. This is the first time for me producing with this pairing of new peru blood. I ended up with a total of 8 live and healthy, 1 fully developed stillborn, and one that didn't absorb it's yolk and probably won't make it. Mom is not a big animal, a little shy of 6 feet.

Sure is nice having to take out a mother this size rather than a big monster wanting to take your head off. I have another expecting peru mom who should be dropping anyday that's about 9 feet and three times the weight. And she gets real nasty and protective when she has babies.

Hello Mark,

Yahooooooooo.......mucho congrats on the litter. The only thing more awe inspiring than getting a litter or clutch of reptiles is watching your own kind being born. Gosh I love breeding reptiles......it's so humbling. Take care and good luck.
