Sunglow x Albino...

GreenAnt Sep 13, 2006 09:05 PM

Since Albinism is an abnormal trait, would it be good to breed a Sunglow back to an Albino? I usually see people breeding het's or DH's back to Albinos. Would the litter turn out weaker genetically? Has anyone done this with success and no abnormalities?

albinism is a weak trait. some have bred albino x albino and had a perfect clutch of all albino babies. Others have had stillborns/kinks/underdeveloped/bug-eyed/anything else that can go wrong. It is purely your choice to do it flip a coin and see how things come out.

You also must keep in mind that there are a large group of people who won't deal with albinoxalbino breedings, and it may be harder to sell off the offspring.
