I handle some things myself as do alot of others that have had these guys, but that looks to me like something that should be seen by a vet. That thing looks malignant or something, does not look good. Somethings not right. Even if like you say it may be a tick, it would have to be removed if its under the skin. The whole dark area then a bump is very suspecious in my opinion, I would have it looked at ! Ask others for their thoughts! Eve

JUST KIDDING...Been there and had that conversation about screwy toes before LOL. Yea, I agree with Eve. Have it looked at. I would give it a week or two first.

the vet that had more testing equipment wouldn't be back until thursday, i couldn't wait that long. so i went to another vet who had to guess, that he got something punctured him when he escaped for the day in our backyard and then it got infected so she gave me something to clean it with three times a day and antibacterial cream, to do for a couple of weeks and hopefully it will disappear or after it softens up there may be a splinter that we have to take out. worst case scenario it doesn't work and it has to be surgically removed $$$$ so PLEEEAAASSSEEE keep your fingers crossed. thanks everyone for your help. -jim
