Baby feeding question

kthulhu Sep 14, 2006 12:50 AM

I recently purched two baby balls from a reptile show. The smallest, is a little over a month old. I was wondering what everyone would recomend feeding them. I've been trying to feed f/t fuzzies using feeder tongs, but that seems to scare them more than anything. I'm pretty sure the breeder was feeding live, but i'm not sure i can get live fuzzies/hoppers, so i'm hopping they will take f/t. These are my first bps, so any advice from those with more experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

I had this problem with my snake, I'd show her the food and she would try to get away from it / flinch backwards. What I did was to put the food halfway inside her favorite hide at night. This worked for me and now she is eating fine ( not at the moment as she's shedding ).

Best of luck. I Don't remember ever having this with my golden retriever, oddly enough !

Best wishes

Congrat's, glad I could help. I had to do this for a few feeds but they soon realise that it isn't scary just tasty. I still feed mine at night with a low light on just so as I can see whats going on. lol

Good luck

Colin
