my geckos hands and feet tremble as he he takes slow steps. He has a nice fat tail, clear eyes, clear nose and clean mouth. besides a couple missing toes(the trembling isnt from the missing toes) he appears to look healthy. any reason why his feet shake when he walks??

MBD. Metabolic Bone Disease. It's from too little Ca. Get you gecko to a vet now! I had to deal with this in my male blizzard. The vet will give a Ca injection and probally give you drops to give your little guy. Put pure Ca in a dish in your geckos' cage and dust with Ca at every feeding. Most importantly get him to a vet as soon as you can. This disease can get very bad very quickly. It can cause loss of appetite, lethargy, and permanent deformity of limbs. Luckily I caught my guys when he was shaking(just as you described) and before the lethargy/loss of appetite were too extreme. He has no deformity and is perfetly fine now. His problem was in his intestines, he does not absorb as much Ca as he should, so he needs a lot more than my other guys. Please get you gecko to a vet now.

They tremble when they have this condition sometimes. Take him to a vet to get checked out. Do you gutload his crickets?

That does not mean it is MBD. It could be other problems too. I had a juvi about 2 years ago that would tremble a little bit right before his foot hit the ground. Took it to my reptile vet and he said the only thing he could think of would be the leo not having enough heat. So, you never know, but like lefty said...you should take it to the vet to know. Good Luck. Sam
