Too fat?

el_toro Sep 15, 2006 12:38 PM

Is obesity a problem for collareds? Rorschach seems SO fat. She's very active - digging, running, jumping, etc. But she eats like a horse and has a HUGE belly.

I personally don't think there's any such thing as a collared that's too fat. I LIKE fat lizards! It means they have good apetites, which means they're healthy. I see it as an altogether good thing. I don't think I have ever heard tale of a collared dying from obesity.

By the way, that baby is just as stunning as her mom. She looks fabulous; you're doing a good job with her.

Thanks! I'm so lucky that the timing worked out perfectly - Morgan looking to sell her right when I was starting to look. I'm trying really hard to spoil the spots off her, but I suppose it'll be ok if the spots stay.

I'm glad to hear her big belly isn't likely to be a problem. She LIKES her bugs so much - the thought of limiting them made me kind of sad!
