Harley was awake this morning, so i figured I'd take the photo opportunity. Anton was sleeping under her "rock wall", so no photos of her today.

An XL Exo Terra & a Sterilite tub (they both end up in the exo terra as soon as the aggression subsides...)

for substrate, I use lava rock for drainage (pea gravel was too heavy & the clay marbles were too expensive. the lava rock I found at HD or Lowes... can't remeber) wih a double-layer of screening, then a layer of potting soil covered by a heafty layer of bed-a-beast (coco fiber). It seems to work pretty well. It resists molding (except where food gets tracked), and is easy enough to clean and/or replace.
The pants are real, local nursery finds... The short one in the front is rooving tricky to keep alive, it was much more dense when I first bought it. Both cresties seem to really like the one with the long leaves. They're sturdy & a good sleeping place.
Thanks for the interest =)

I got the soil from a local nursery. They had some organic stuff from their farm. I am not sure if this helps you. The place is in North Guilford, CT. If you are close by I can give you the name (if I can remeber it). If not, you can check out local farms and nurseries in your area and see if any of them carry organic soil.
