new type of corn?

cmsuphoto Aug 05, 2003 12:43 PM

Well, my ghost female and striped amel male mated a few months ago, and we had some babies that I've never seen. From people I've asked, their input is a reverse amel hurricane patterned corn snake. Either way, they look cool as any snake I've seen. I'm new to this forum, and I didn't know if anyone out there was a corn snake "expert", but I'm workin' on getting pictures to anyone who can help identify these babies. No matter what, I do have a possibility in a few breeding season of getting a striped ghost, which was my original goal, but these babies are beautiful, so I might just abandon that goal and make more of these guys! I'll try to post pictures here, but like I said, I'm new here, don't know if I'll know how. Any input from anyone out there in kingsnake.comland, please let me know! I live in St. Louis, if you live around here and wanna see them. If you follow the URL link, and look at the last four pictures in the yahoo photo albumn, that's the babies. I named them confused 1-4 because I'm confused by them and what they are. Thanks in advance for any help.

you can host some pics on this site. Go to the Photo Gallery in the list up top and upload your pics there and then when you pos, there is a - select image from photo gallery - at the bottom here that you just open up and select whichever one you want. You have to have your photo's resized for uploading first though, which you can do through most photo programs.

I am by far no expert, but I would guess that your ghost was het amel and your stripe was het anery or hypo, and that there probably het motley in the ghost as well. I guess this because your babies look to be a combination of stripe and motley on amels, anerys, and what looks to be either baby ghosts or snows.
