tail rot?

my saharan uro has a bright red tail except for one section that is like a light grey color. where this section meets the next lower section it looks like it is cracked. is this tail rot or a bad shed or something else. i do not remember the last time he shed. thanks Baruchi

Is there a way you can post a picture? It sounds like just a bit of stuck shed, but a photo could help us be more certain.
