Beardies and air conditioning

Amk2109 Aug 05, 2003 01:06 PM

So my husband and I just moved with our three dragons and everyone has finally adjusted. My question is that two of my beardies seem to gravitate to an air conditioning vent in our entryway under a table. I mean they stretch out directly on top of the air conditioning vent. My question is why would they gravitate to such a cold place. I go and move them and then they find somewhere else to crawl around and lay down that is not on an a/c vent and everything is fine. I just thought it was odd that they would want to lay on top of it. There is plenty of room so that they don't have to lay on the actual vent but they always do. Just wondering out of curiousity. Thanks.

i have found that they for some reason are attracted to areas where air is moving through, like under doorways, i have no idea why, could make a few guesses, but nothing for certian

May sound silly but perhaps they just want to "Chill" ?

ok well my dragon by the end of the day just loves to get under his cage on the carpet .... his cage is on a dining room table and underneath on the floor is just the right temp for him to get nice and cool to sleep.... and he seems to love to rub the carpet and hunker down.... he will run around the apt. and then just make a "B" line for that spot, I think when he goes to burminate I'll just keep him there with his small cage as he has picked it out as his "spot"
