What's a good background for taking pics

ronin1360 Sep 16, 2006 10:19 AM

I'm looking to take some pictures of my snakes and want to use a white background but I can't get it to look as good as the other pics i've seen on this forum. so, can some of the experts give us some tips on how to take a good picture of a snake? like what kind of background and lighting to use? thank you!

There are several, White and black poster board is probally the cheapest. Or a piece of glass sprayed painted black or white. Frabic works well and is pretty cheap. As far as lighting I am lost best thing to do is experiment with different lighting.

I used black and white cloth, and flourescent lighting for these (no flash). Let me know what you think (My camera sucks, by the way.. I'm trying to find a better one)
