My ball python, Basil, is going through his first shed. His skin is very loose, and he's been rubbing all over the tank. Last night a little bit of skin peeled under his mouth. How long does it take for him to fully shed? THank you for any help.

Sounds like you may have a humidity problem. You may want to bump up the humidity in his enclosure. Also, you can give him a bath. Run just enough 80 - 85 degree fahrenheit water to come half way up his body into a plastic tub, and let him soak for about an hour. That should loosen the skin enough for him to get it off.
You want to try to keep his enclosure at about 55 to 60% humidity all the time. And you can bump that up to around 75% when he goes into shed.
Steve
His humidity is at 80% right now, and I let him go in water earlier today, but the water was room temp. I'll try it again a little warmer though.
