Shows and genetics

rearfang Sep 16, 2006 05:37 PM

Went to a local show today and got some good booty. The first was a 2' male L. t. polyzona (w/c there is some minor scarring) with a bold black split to the white nose bar.

Then for fun I picked up a Honduran female that was hypo for albinism (the reds are increadible on this).

Finally I got an anery male the same size.

It got me thinking. Since the hypo is 50% albino, if I crossed it to the anery, what would I get?

sounds like you would get normals that will be het for anery and hypo and some off-spring may carry the albino gene,
then the babies would or could produce normals,Hypos, anerys,
and ghost possibility is 1 in 16 ,and with "pairing luck" albino.
just a hypothesis,i could be wrong.C

Thanks,

I had the feeling I would be cooking a strange soup there.
