Not sure if anyone is interested, but to give y'all an idea of how firmly established I. iguana is in south Florida, I saw fifty of them on Thursday. Thirty were observed along a heavily traveled road in a stretch of a mile or less. The other 20 or so were in a small county park a mile or two north of the first location.
Both locations had ready access to water, the first a canal, the second a lake.
BTW, SFWMD is not all that pleased with these animals, since they have a tendency to dig holes in the sides of canal banks, causing them to erode.
