Striped/Abberrant Ruthven's co-dominant?

Aaron Sep 17, 2006 03:02 AM

Could this be evidence that the striped/abberrant ruthveni are co-dominant?
I produced this 2006 hatch male by breeding the original het for striped/abberrant Ruthveni (originally owned by Lloyd Lemke) male to a completly normal female. Last year I also produced a clutch from the same pairing but there were only some minor abberrancies. This guy to me looks too extreme to be just a normal Ruthven's with a few broken bands. What do you think?

Same snake as above.

This is the original Lloyd Lemke wild caught het for striped/abberrant Ruthven's. Notice that he has a white head with a black cap rather than the normal black head of a Ruthven's. He also has a broken band, nothing unusual there except knowing what he has produced I am wondering if these are het "markers". Opinions?

Looking good Aaron, can't wait to see picks of the rest of the clutch. That's a very interesting looking Ruthven's.
Thanks for the photo.
