New Collareds

kellybee Sep 17, 2006 10:00 AM

Still waiting for the new viv to arrive (another 2 weeks!!), but the Bicinctores I bought have been moved to a boarding home as the little male had lost a lot of weight and the pet shop owner admitted to not using thermostats or basking lights. Their temporary home is with another two females of the same species, and I am on a promise from my other half that if either of the two new ladies are still there (or both) when the new viv is complete I can have ALL FOUR (yikes). I seriously doubt that they will be both are very pretty, and a lot of interest in the shop as it has only been open a month, but keep ya fingers crossed for me. Here's some pics i took of my two at home today. Yoda is getting FAT and Yoshi is becoming a skilled escape artist

They're cutie cute!! You'll have to post pictures of the viv as well as the new lizzies when you get them set up, as I'm jealous over both.

quick question...you are not keeping the two males together in the same cage are you? they could end up being very mean to each other!

We have bought an entire stack system 6 ft high and 7 ft wide with a total of 9 separate vivs included. Its kind of hard to explain the layout but I'll take a picture if it ever arrives....I'm very impatient, lol

The four Westerns will go in together (1:3) and Yoshi and yoda (1:1) will go in a different viv together, probably next door so they can be neighbours

ok, ok, no i think i know what you are talking about, sort of like a book shelf but of cages. i was a little confused cause you were talking about putting them all in the one thing you were waiting for but the one thing has multiple cages

.......or my tarantula. I think that would be a recipe for disaster, but thanks for warning me ....

It's like a big kind of wall unit with lots of inbuilt vivariums, made of wood with glass sliding fronts on them all, 9 different ones in total. I'll try posting pics when its complete, its very exciting!
