Hello:
I've always been interested in the various species of Bipes (biporus, canaliculatus, etc.) and wondered if anyone could tell me if these are available in the US? If anyone can send me a link, etc., I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Tony

Can't answer your questions....but they are sure a neat looking creature!
I did a search both th see if there was a place that sells these for you, and because I was curious what it was. No luck on the search for sellers, possibly because they are limited to mainly Baja California (Mexice end). I'm guessing there isn't a big market for them, or they are protected though I didn't find reference to their protection status.
Anyone who doesn't know what these are has definitely got to look them up. Some reference to them calls them a Mexico wormlizard, and it's a definite curiosity.

This site has pictures of more than one type, and some snakes too. Check it out. If you're thinking about getting one, be sure if you find it to really check out it's needs first. I'm sure due to it's limited range it would have very special needs.
