Well today I got home and my new little cresteds cage was 87 deg, so I turned on the fan and had to leave for work. When I got home the temp was 73. Much better.

So I was wondering if they has to be a drop in temp at night. If i can keep the temp at about 73-75 during day and night will that be fine.

Today I found the perlite at walmart and it felt like styrofoam through the bag. Is this normal?

Also right next to it was peat moss made by the same brand and I was wondering how to tell if it is safe for the gecko. It said promotes organic growth and I dont know if it would have bugs or mold spores in it. Also is there any chemical or ingredient to look for in the soil/peat moss.
