Odd axanthic picts request.

johnavilla Sep 18, 2006 10:01 AM

has any one ever seen an axanthic with an almost completely faded head, graphite grey eyes, smokey grey lips, lots of fading, flaming and blushing, a very slightly aberant patern (melted together alien heads in spots, one four in a row) and a clean, white belly? If you have please post picts. I will post picts of the one I picked up this summer (and my other aberant) as soon as I get a camera but don't hold your breath because I don't know when that will be. This snake was not sold to me as an axanthic by the way. It is just that he has so little yellow that he apears grey and brown. Aside from the aberant features ge looks like a browned out axanthic. I got him (not sure about the sex) at a pet store for $60.00.

I forgot to mention though that mine also has an almost 100% reduced pattern. Do you have a better pict of the neck and head? From what I can see the body color is very simmilar. The overall pattern on yours is a little more normal than mine and the blushing and flaming is definitely more normal on yours but the head and neck look like they might be simmilar. The stomach also looks simmilar. Nice find regardless of what he turns out to be. I am hoping that mine ends up being the heterozygous version of a co-dom but I will be happy if it turns out genetic at all and am expecting it to prove out interesting but "normal" which I will also be happy with because this snake rocks regardless. I can't wait to get a cammera and post some picts but that will probably have to wait untill X-mass or next summer.
