We hit 1 owl, one Javalina, one raccoon and a few jack rabbits and one desert quail this year while down in the Big bend region and none was in the park of course. The pig was just bumped and ran off. None could be avoided as they literately ran into us ! I was wondering if there is a program to give hit and dead animals that was killed by such to the needy. But while i laugh at this scenario there IS such a program in the state where I live if a deer is killed by vehicle. But then i thought that if these dead critters were given away to some despicable individuals, they might land up on my plate in some restaurant in the area covered up my a flour tortilla or smothered in melted cheese ? LOL !

A fellow (that we mutually know apparently) was very distrought when I informed him of how unlikely it is that he is finding Prairie Rattlesnakes in Waubunsee. Just wanted to clear that up...
