All FOUR C. vestigium hatchlings

PHEve Sep 19, 2006 09:52 AM

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, awesome Baja season ,

I'm still tickled pink over the kids. Two are about 10 weeks but smallish, and 2 hatched about 2 weeks ago.

The older 2 on the right Kaboom, and Crackers, the tikes on the left are Chuparosa, and Chicory.

Mama and Papa are resting, hehehehhee lol

Little Chinoza is thriving, hybrid C. vestigium/ C. bicinctores
so much bigger and stronger looking than the vestie hatchlings.

Vestigium kids are certainly much more difficult to get going in my opinion. Once they begin eating well, then ya pretty much can breath a sigh of relief. And then they seem to bloom.

which is so weird because vestigiums are so big and bulky as adults you would think they would be tanks as babies. nature is definitely weird sometimes.

any idea on the sex of this one?

female I have to look again though. Because it's a cross, it may be more like the vestigium to sex,( which takes months.

But to me atleast so far Chinoza looks like a female.

very cute, but is that one really small or is one of the two week olds really big because three of them seem like they are the same size. perhaps it is just the spacing from the camera

Wow they sure are beautiful, I love their pattern and colouring, great work Eve.

Hopefully one day I'll get little one's of my own, Bonnie has her colours back but she's still being a prude lol.

Maybe Bonnie just is nto into her Clyde, LOL maybe she needs to have a secret affair with another guy to get her COOKIN, hehehehee.

Really maybe a different male would do the trick. OR a different lady for Clyde.

Lol, at this point a different lady would be a whole lot easier, though I will have to wait another year to get an adult female, as the collared's dry up quickly in my area.
