You win some, you lose some...........

Picked this male up in Daytona, looked like a solid, healthy animal. He did have some slight Rostral damage, but if you didn't know what you were looking for, you'd never notice it. I got him home, set him up, and was fine for a few weeks. Long story short, I strated treating him for Mouth Rot and a URI ( presumably secondary to the Stomatitis ). Things were looking up untill today. Came home to the stench of death. It just goes to show that when dealing with living things, nothing is as consistant as we want it to be

Very sorry to hear that. My very first ball came with mouth rot which I treated for several weeks before he finally sucumbed to it.

I had bought a snake that died a month after daytona Id expect something from the seller. Most decent breeders would help you out with that.

Yes and No. I really don't expect anything to be done. IMO the real symptoms didn't start for 12 or so days, and that would have been out of alot of Breeder/Dealer guarantees. I also made the mistake of not contacting the dealer I bought it from when things started happening. I know I would have a hard time beleiving it wasn't keeper error. Lesson learned, its just one of those damed if you do, damed if you don't situations

Sorry to hear about your snake. I lost my first one to an infection and she went down hill fast too.

Best wishes for the future and any snakes to come your way.
