have you seen or have the new economy plastics rack from animal plastics? the only difference is that the new rack has opening side and back, and i am thinking of getting it, it holds 6 32gt. tubs and they are only $180 plus #35 for shipping. i am just wondering what your thoughts about this rack? thanks.

Racks with an open frame design are fine if the room is kept warm. I cannot use that type of design. Not from AP, not from Freedom Breeder, Vision, etc. I keep my racks in a room with a ceramic tile floor that stays cool in the summer, cold in the winter. The room temp drops down to 68, a little too cool for balls but fine for colubrids. I would have to wrap the rack in reflectix or rigid insulation to maintain the temps. If you have a snake room and you can keep the temps up, the open frame design is not a problem. In my opinion the new AP racks are a great value.

i keep pines, bulls, kings and corns so yes it's okay. my snake room are always in the 70-75 once in awhile it would hit 68, over the summer it would be sometime above 75. but thanks.
