CYCLOPHIOPS MAJOR

philodryas Sep 19, 2006 11:53 PM

I recently got 0.0.4 Cyclophiops major, they are really tiny and probably not many days old. Does anyone have experiense with getting this species to eat. I have offerd them worms and maggots but not one of them eats by it self. And becouse i don't know how old they are and if they have eaten befor i'm not sure when to start force feed them. I did not buy the snakes myself, a friend picked them up in Hamm for me so i had no chans to talk to the guy who sold them.

Cheers, Ronny

I have kept those and also the Japanese form. They require a very damp enviroment. I used wet spagnum and potting soil, misting daily. Again VERY DAMP! Temps in the upper seventies are ideal.

With mine I released the worms into their tank and let them find them.

Good luck. They grow into incredibly attractive adults.
