Wow! Awesome! Sorry for the newbie question, but what does 'HET' stand for?

"Het" is an abbreviation for heterozygous. Meaning it carrys the recessive gene but it does not show..

A reccesive gene is something like albinism or hypomelanism or axanthic ect. Its does not VISIBLY pass from one generation to the other unless bred to another "het" or a similar recessive trait.

In other words...If you breed a albino king to a normal king all the babies will come out normal looking...BUT they carry the albino gene. Breed these normal looking babies (sis and bro) back together and you will get 1/2 albinos and 1/2 normal looling neonates. Now it gets more confusing as to possible hets and double hets and stuff . I could write more but it would be confusing.
