Bearded dragons typically live up to 10 years with exceptional specimens living over 12. They make wonderful pets for children and beginning herpers alike. This is due to their docile nature and hardiness. I have a 3 year old son and he is very fond of all of our dragons.

Definitly go with a beardie!! LOL Im not just saying that because i have one. We also have a couple of leo geckos and I would definitly prefer a beardie over a leo!! Dont get me wrong leos are cool to and fascinating lizrds but nothing beats a beardies personality!! There awesome guys and I think better for the younger kids. Beardies are a bit more hardy then say geckos!

Awesome pic aswell! Love the ball! I have a ball also and love him aswell
