Corn snake breeder in Pa?

griffinej5 Aug 05, 2003 03:59 PM

Does anyone here know of a good corn snake breeder in PA. I live in Bucks County, close to Philadelphia. The best i've gotten is someone 3:30 hours or so away from me. There is a herp store that i've heard good things about, but I wrote a week or so ago and I haven't gotten anything back. I'm willing to drive a bit so long as I can avoid the turnpike (I have yet to drive on it, and I'm content with that). Sorry if i'm not supposed to be posting this here, and thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Try Rick's Exotic Pets....I live in Philadelphia area and go to the All-Maryland reptile shows sometimes...he has some of the best looking corns in my opinion and its worth the 1.5 - 2 hr drive. My friend & I have both gotten corns from him. The parents of the one I got are from Kathy Love. He has a weblink on the breeders section of kingsnake.com.....if not, let me know and i'll email it to ya. GOOD LUCK!

Wow, i've been searching and searching and I've only found stuff that's a bit out of my comforts. I've found a guy 3:30 or so hours away, who would meet me in the middle. Though, even in the middle i'm not sure I like that drive. There's Radical Reptiles in Philadelphia. I wrote them a week ago and never got anything back. The third place is about 2 hours away. It's in a mall in Carbon County. That's actually not too far from my grandma's house. Nothing in Philadelphia would be much more then an hour from me, so that's not bad at all.

what about shipping? n/p

griffinej5 Aug 05, 2003 10:58 PM

I'd prefer not to. The only time I had an animal shipped to me, it was rather disappointing. It arrived missing 2 nails, and much smaller then the pictures made him appear. Yeah, it could have been worse I know, but i'd prefer to see what i'm buying first.

i hear ya... i was the same way BUT now I am just REALLY extra careful when getting any animals shipped. If you get from a QUALITY breeder then you should not have anything to worry about b/c the animal will be fairly & accurately represented. check the previous posts in this corn snake forum and you'll see who most of the top breeders are....just my 2cents.
