Tiger sals are so much fun to keep.. Every morning, my two have this routine; they both erupt from their burrows and begin leaping for my attention, and I give them a cricket (or two, it's hard to resist their begging) out of the Can o' Crickets. They will eat right out of your hand and they are trained like dogs to beg, I think. But it took a few weeks, about a month or two, before they got this "tame." Now, they will not be ignored if someone is in the room; they would literally eat constantly if I let them! Mine spend most of the time buried in their substrate, but they will be in the water very occasionally. Your setup sounds great, and nice and big. I would recommend keeping two together; mine seem to enjoy being near one another, and I am hoping someday they will breed. I would get a male and female. Dan,you dont need the water area in your tank, adult tigers burrow so they need plenty of soil in which to do that.
