gravid spotted...now what???

davethomas Aug 05, 2003 05:04 PM

one of my female spotteds is obviously gravid. what does she need to lay her clutch? my 2.3.2 colony lives outdoors in a bog-like setting. I'm paranoid that maybe she needs more sun/less sun; more moisture/less moisture; or some sort of soil condition, location, etc. that I haven't thought of.

any ideas?

also, are we better off letting her clutch incubate where she plants it or moving it to an incubator (which I have no experience with..and don't have one of...yet)?

thanks!

She'll find a suitable spot, but if it will make you feel better yo can put out a tub of sand for easy deposition. I would definitely incubate artificially! Best of luck!
