Just wanted to say that although I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with you on some stuff in the past....You've painted a pretty clear picture in your recent posts. Excellent job on your inputs. You are right on! It all makes sense to me. Lunch is on me next weekend.

Also, I am taking AGS 281 Herpetoculture this semester at Yavapai College here in Prescott, Arizona. Not that I need the credits as I have a BS degree from Kansas State University (1983) and a MA from Webster University (1990). In this class a lot of the topics have to do with reproduction; parthenogenesis, genotypic sex determination (GSD), temperature dependent sex determination (TSD), correlation between sex determination and embryonic development, oviparous, viviparous, etc....... BUT ONE THING THAT IS CONSTANT IS: GENERALLY, A SPECIES GROWS RAPIDLY TO SEXUALY MATURITY, THEN SLOWS DOWN.......

I did not know we were suppose to see, eye to eye. I was under the questionable impression that the benefit of lots of people in one place, the forums, is to see from lots of different eyes.

Besides, the only way we could see eye to eye is, we all had the exact same experience. And luckily we don't. So we can share from our different experience.

I am unique in that, I am one of the very few that has done both. Both is, successfully keeping reptiles in captivity and studying them in nature. And I have done both for a very long time. I have do so with many species and over much of the world.

Where we do see eye to eye is, we both bred snakes, just to see what came out of the eggs, no other reason, just curious I guess.

Sounds like some great classes and some great arguements.

I am actually testing this(the 18 inch thing) subject on some monitors, as we speak. The results are very much the same. No problems and production and growth are not dependant on the animal, its dependant on the support. Cheers
