The gecko is only about 5 inches long though, only maybe a couple of months old and the pic is a close up.. So my fingers may just look long in comparison..

She (I keep thinking she for some reason) started screaming at me and bit me when I picked her up to take the pic but then settled down once I was holding her.. Probably just stressed from coming to a new home and stuff.. I'm going to leave her alone for the rest of the week and then she if she's calmer..

Baby geckos have different temperments. Some are scream,ers and will be so for awhile, but they will stop when they are older and bigger and feel less threatened. the 3 1/2 month old forty gram gecko I posted earlier today was like that for awhile...she was agressive and a creamer, but not anymore- and look how fast she grew...maybe her personality helped her grow faster. Don't worry, she'll make a good pet once she is bigger.

As for being a screamer as Starling said, my newest guy Boo is very much a screamer. I haven't even attempted to hold him yet. He especially hates being misted. He was looking like he was starting to shed and even though i got him into his humid hide (by kinda herding him in there) he wouldn't stay in it, so i lightly misted that side of the tank and BOY did he let out a wail!
