Great News....

Joe Aug 05, 2003 05:31 PM

As I am typing I am watching out of the corner of my eye, my 2 armata's bobbing heads and running around the upper part of the tank. this is a great sign of mating, so hopefully in 4 months I can see some eggs. I haven't seen the male catch the female yet, but it is rare to ever see that with MHD's anyway. I don't even know if this is the first time they have showed mating signs, but this is definitely very cool!! Wish them luck!

dig a little in the soil. I have a pair of anoles, and I see them doing it too, but about once every 2 weeks she lays another egg. None of them ever get to hatch for some reason (I do leave them in the tank though, I have no room for little baby anoles). Anyways, they like laying in the soil right up next to something, maybe next to roots, or next to a log going into the ground, or soemthing along those lines. Good luck!

They are to feisty to really reach in and dig also the tank is very well planted and furnished so its kinda hard but thanks for the tip i'll try it. Katie
P.S. If you ever get a baby tell me and i could get it from you. What kind of anoles do you have? I have Bahaman Anoles.
