...just thayeri, mex mex and alterna for me in order of preference. I'm beginning the search to rebuild a small greeri group at some point soon; I bought adults the last time around and would like to begin again with a few special babies. Darn near bought a few the other day, too picky I guess and they hit the road to Anaheim.
I need to dust off the camera and get fresh mex mex pics, got a few nice ones growing up.
Here's my first addiction in the kingsnake kingdom. Top photo is a 2002 Pandale Dirt Road male still in the collection, not related to your yearlings which are buried in that pile somewhere.....

Yeah, this forum has been a bit quiet lately. Here are some pictures of my reptile collection:

You guys have already seen my thayeri, so I didn't post their pictures here.
I'd also like to see pictures of what else you guys keep!
BTW APLAXAR & mexicanamak, those are some nice greybands you have there!

NICE VEILED. Chameleons are a project i have always wanted to do, but have never gotten around to it, i have done all the research as i used to sell them, but i have always wanted to try breeding even though it take a ton of patience. i like the cal kings to. what kind of monitor is that? timor?

Thanks for the compliment. I've had a lot of fun watching that veiled grow up into a monster. Sure is a grumpy little cuss, though.
I pop into the Chameleon forum now and then and I've heard lots of talk about breeding. It sure does seem to be quite the project. Those eggs can take almost a year to hatch, depending on the species. I don't think I'd be able to wait that long, and what a bummer if they turned out to be duds.
The monitor is a Quince Monitor or Varanus melinus. He's still very young, just over a year I think.
Those greybands are gorgeous! I really like the one in the middle. It has a neat pattern. Thanks for sharing them!
Oh, here is a picture of the chameleon acting really tough at only 3 months old.

Yeah the whole gestation/incubation period is what has always steered me away from breeding them, my co worker got a gravid one and her eggs incubated for i think 6 months and they all hatched, i prefer to incubate 60-75 days rather than 180 days minimum, i actually aquired all my grey bands from mexicanamak (mike) and they are growing like weeds and looking nicer every day

Goodness... looks like you've got a regular reptile zoo!
Do you have any favorites among those? (Besides thayeri, of course. lol)

2.2.0 California Kingsnakes (Beetlejuice, Kang, Maraca, Kodos)
lol...yes it does feel like a zoo sometimes, I have other animals also, so showing everyone attention is time consuming.
My favorites in the reptiles beside my Thayeri would be the savannah monitor(Mushu) he tripods and begs for his food which is cute. I have a male boa named Jumanji that is one of my all time fav's. and of course Luna the big dumerils.
the one that touches my heart though is a big Suriname female that was wild caught, parasite ridden, and horribly scarred.
She was so ill the vet didn't think she could pull through. She had lung worms, pin worms, giradeau, coccidia, tape worms, and mouth rot. after all the treatment to try and save her she developed a B vitamin deffiency from the flaygl and started seizuring. It took over a year of force feeding and constant care till she was able to eat on her own. I have never seen the will to live so strong so I guess even though I can't handle her she is one of my favorites and I have great respect for her.
Probably my all time favorite pet though is Dufus my Blue and Gold Macaw he will do anything for peanut butter and jelly.

Michelle
Wow, that is quite a story! Glad to hear that she made it through all of that.
Blue and gold macaws are my absolute favorite macaw. If I had the time, money, and space (let alone my own home, vs. an apartment, so neighbors wouldn't get irate), I would love to get a b&g macaw.

When ever you get the chance to get a b&g macaw you will love them, they are so friendly and loving, I will try and post you a picture of him once my new usb cable arrives. It went out today while I was downloading pictures. Hopefully the new one will be here next week. I have a blue front amazon parrot also but he is not real friendly. I really enjoy animals in general though I don't know if I could pick just one as my favorite. What is your favorite of your pets?
take care

Michelle
I would love to see a picture of him!
As for favorites on my end... I don't know if I could pick just one. I've had my geckos for a long time and really like them, but I also enjoy my chameleon... heck I enjoy them all! I can't pick a favorite either.
