At Daytona i purchased my first albino burm. The only propblem that i'm having now is that he only wants to eat every 10 to 14 days only one rat crawler/small rat. he's about 2.5 feet now and he just won't eat more often. I offer him every seven days with the rest of my snakes. all my boas eat every 7 days and the boas of the same size would eat probably every five if i let them. after 7 days i'll offer again 3 days later and sometimes he'll takes and sometimes not. the reason i ask this question is that i have kept large burms in the past for short periods and all were like bottomless pits lol. A buddy has a female about 3.5 feet that will eat and eat and eat. i'm kind of new to burms and want to know if maybe i should seek a vet or if some babies just do not eat as ofter. thanks for your time

probably healthier for the snake, there is no need for most snakes to eat as often as people feed them, most snakes are overfeed and filled with excess fecal matter in my opinion, a slower, more restrained feeding schedule will result in a healthier snake that reaches maturity and will breed succesfully, just not in 18 months, maybe 3-5 years time. I also believe such a raised snake will live longer and many burms are PUMPED, bred , and die between 3-10 years of life, thats a short life for a Python
