whites dumpy problem

quanno Aug 05, 2003 05:52 PM

My 4 year old whites was very dehydrated this morning. She was hiding in her cave and would not come out. I got her out and she was blotchy on her back. She was mainly brown with patches of green. She didnt move very much. She seemed like she hurt her feet because they got dried out. I soaked her for about 20 minutes and sprayed her with bio-mist which has electrolytes, and she started moving again. Is there anything I should look out for in the next few days?

Wow, that's interesting. I wouldn't know what to tell you other than people often soak their dehydrated frogs in Pedialyte for the same reasons.

How's the frog doing now? Hopefully someone else will see this!

shes doing better now. She is really thin compared to normal. But yesterday, while i was cleaning out their terrarium, i put them in the sink to soak... and after 4 years my male suddenly latched onto my female and they started mating... EXCITING!

Did they lay eggs?

That does sound good. If she's skinny, maybe you should still try the pedialyte (sp?), anyway?
