I've got a signifigantly younger petco rescue leo that's got the same reduced coloration, I was just figuring it was going to turn out hypo... it's kinda fun to have the whole guessing game thing going on with the little guy though, he looks different every time I take a peek!

You're leos that you are calling Blizzards, are not, they are Patternless.

And the Albino Luecistic is a Patternless too, most likely a Raiwater/Las Vegas albino, aka LVPA.

The Petco gecko is a Hypo Tang, may even go Super Hypo.

Felicia, I agree that the 2nd "blizzard" is a patternless, but could the first one be a banana blizzard?

balloonzforu Sep 25, 2006 03:33 PM

Maybe? But I would think that whoever told this person that the patternless was a blizzard is the same person and that person has their morphs mixed up. And that is understandable, since I personally would have called the blizzard a patternless before I call a Patternless a Pattenless..... LOL Besides I don't think I have ever seen a Bannana Blizard with that nice of a color.

And....sorry I forgot to add this... you can see some pattern in the head and neck in the first and third picture of the leo in questions. We need a close up picture to know for sure.

which gecko are you guys questioning lol?

im pretty sure thats a blizzard, reason being that picture is wayyy to bright, im gonna take a better picture, since his body is very dark, with yellow patterns on top of his back.

heres some pictures of him on a darker background (clean black sock hah)

here is a pic of my oldest petco gecko, not sure if its a jungle or hi yellow:

and my only normal

heres the gecko i was told was albino luecistic:

gothra Sep 25, 2006 09:43 PM

The first few pics are definately a patternless.

balloonzforu Sep 25, 2006 11:27 PM

Closer head shots of the first leo in the first post.

heres three i could take before my camera died.

also, ive been seeing alot of people saying UTH are a must, but if im using paper towels as the bedding, wont that burn the gecko? reason i ask is because my hi yellow is about 5 years old, and never hd a heat lamp or a heat pad, and does just fine, but my 3 small geckos are not eating as much as they should, and im wondering if its because they dont have a heating pad. The temperature in my room is always hot, and they have water, hides, so i dunno what could be the problem.

cottonmouth111 Sep 26, 2006 12:32 AM

Looks like a banana blizzard to me. That one IS a leucistic, they have those patterns as a juvi. About the UTH, belly heat is more important than the air temp.

yoimb0b Sep 26, 2006 01:11 AM

o ok, can someone link me to where i can get the heat tape? because i plan on using the rubbermaid containers, to house about 10-12 geckos in a rack style container, but i dont know where or how much the heat tape costs.

cottonmouth111 Sep 26, 2006 01:18 AM

http://www.mgreptiles.com/index.html Or you can try Big Apple Herp. There is a few stores online...so shop around and find the best price. Good luck! Sam

I'd say that the first one could be a blizzard, but the second one is definately a patternless.(the pattern on its back means it's patternless. They lose it when they get older) All of them are very beautiful!
