UK Vivarium Advice

Mark_D Sep 24, 2006 04:01 AM

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick question, does anyone know any good ready - made Vivariums that are ideal for Chondros?
They need to be available in the UK.
All we seem to have are Exo-Terra over here, I cant find vision etc.
Could I convert an Exo-Terra? if I sealed in the top and used some perspex to cover up some of the mesh to keep humidity up?

Any advice would be great,

Cheers

Mark

im in the states and i use an exo for my chondro. humidity levels are fine with the screen open, it really is an effective enclosure.

Thanks for the reply!
What do you use for perches and perch holders in the exo?
Also which exo do you use?

Thanks again for the help!

Cheers

Forgot to also ask what you use to heat the exo?
I know you can get a hood with fittings for a ceramic heater but is a mat better??

Cheers

i use lamps with dimmers for my arboreal snakes. i have an Exo for my baby chondro. i like it. i tossed the background it came with and made a nice quark bark background (looks a little more natural and real). Offer them multiple levels for perching areas so they can thermo regulate as they please. I'll post some pics soon.
