I am thinking about changing to florecent lighting bacause the incandecent lighting is just not working that good. What would you guys suggest I get? I would like to get somthing that will last a while but not be extremly expencive like some lights. They will be for veiled chameleons.

Also I am making a cage for a female veiled that is 2x2x3ft what would be a good plant to put in that cage? I am kind of negative towards ficus because they just drop their leaves too much.

Zoo Med's ReptiSun 5.0 Fluorescent UVB its the most recommended UVB bulb for chameleons. For plants you can use Pothos and umbrella plants their leaves collect droplets of water very well.

What do you mean you want to switch from incandescent to florescent lighting? Unless you are using Mercury Vapor bulbs, your cage should have both of those types of lights anyways! Am I missing something?

Incandescent bulbs provides heat, but do not give off UV.
Reptile Brand Florescent bulbs provides UV, but not heat.

Only Mercury Vapor bulbs provide both, and they require a large cage to be used with.

If you have not had reptile florescent bulbs that specifically provide UVB and UVA, then I suggest you check on the health of your chameleons, and run over all of your husbandry- because you posted about a male of yours being unwell.
