rescued bosc

Juan M Sep 25, 2006 01:16 AM

I rescued a bosc from my friend. He had it in a 30gal tank and hardly fed him. He also fed him hard boiled eggs alot. He is doing fine with me now. He is eating regular and is acting like a regular savvy now. He is a year and 5 months old and his growth has really been stunted he is only 1ft and 4 inches. I have him in a 6ft long 4ft wide custom built enclousure. my question is since he is doing fine now and is in a regular size cage will start to grow to a regular sized bosc or is he perminetly effected? Please don't ask me about his living conditions, his living conditions are correct and this is now the second bosc I now own. I had done all my research before I bought my bosc which was like 4 years ago.Thank you.

Yes, now that he's on a good diet, he will grow a little and put on some weight. It also depends on how old he is, too. If he's too old, he might not grow. You said he had him for a year and five months? My guess is he'll grow a little more if he was that old when you friend bought him. I believe these guys can grow well into the third year.
