PLEASE HELP!

My 3-month-old dragon stopped eating and defecating for at least a week and a half now. I feed him small crickets and assorted greenery and moistened Juvenal bearded dragon pellets (that he doesn’t eat). My wife gave him some big crickets just before he stopped eating. She said he had a hard time with them. I tried a warm 20minute soak. I haven’t looked in his mouth but when he got a little water in his mouth he seemed to over salavacate and a little black substance seemed to be mixed in. Could a large cricket be lodged in there? Any advice?

Thanks for your time and attention.

What I write below is from experience with COLLARED LIZARDS, since I am new to Bearded Dragons.

After a week and a half, you don't have much time to get this Dragon to a vet, but that is what is needed! Impaction usually occurs in the gut, not the throat, and can sometimes be cleared by using soaks, but more serious cases may require other methods.

It is possible your Dragon has a cricket stuck in the throat, but this would usually cause regurgitation and/or choking.

To determine what is stuck, and where, you need a vet.

Until then, do try giving water from a syringe, but don't drown that baby if he cannot swallow it!
